As a Preconstruction/Estimating Intern, you’ll work closely with our experienced Preconstruction Managers and play an important role in connecting design and construction, gaining hands-on experience in the process. Your responsibilities will include:

As a Preconstruction/Estimating Intern, you’ll work closely with our experienced Preconstruction Managers and play an important role in connecting design and construction, gaining hands-on experience in the process. Your responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating with architecture, engineering, and construction teams.
- Attending pre-bid meetings and visiting project sites.
- Reading and interpreting project specifications and construction drawings.
- Using industry-leading software, such as On-Screen Takeoff, Autodesk Assemble, Excel, Revit, Bluebeam, Smartsheet, Plan-Room, and more.
- Building and maintaining historical cost databases.
- Coordinating with suppliers and subcontractors to gather and evaluate quotes.
- Assisting with project schedule and budget preparation.
- Enrollment in an Architectural, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering program or Construction Management program.
- Previous internship experience in design-build or construction (preferred).
- Leadership roles in extracurricular activities or student organizations.
- Strong ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High initiative and eagerness to learn.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
